Whether the plan is to relax from the busy routine or to meet up and talk business, we provide everything you will need.

In separate premises where the reception is housed, fully equipped meeting rooms are available for hire. Our guests can also take an invigorating swim in our 12-metre swimming pool, revitalise body and soul in the sauna, take a refreshing outdoor shower and then relax in jacuzzis on the banks of the river.

All rooms are lovingly designed for your comfort and wellbeing. There
are 14 rooms in all, all double with en suite facilities, television and internet connections. Extra beds can be installed in nine of the rooms. All are fitted with elegant and comfortable furniture and decorated with modern
Icelandic works of art.

Works by leading Icelandic artists of the twentieth century adorn the walls of room. Eight rooms are dedicated to particular artists and named after them: the painters Arnar Herbertsson, Bragi Ásgeirsson, Georg Guðni Hauksson, Jóhanna Kristín Yngvadóttir, Jón Engilberts, Karl Kvaran, Óskar Magnússon and Þorvaldur Skúlason.

From the rooms there is a view across the river Varmá, the hot springs on its banks and beyond to Mt. Reykjafjall and the valleys Reykjadalur, Grændalur and Gufudalur above Hveragerði. Each room is a world unto itself by the riverside, full of Icelandic art amidst the glories of Icelandic nature.


Hveragerði is a small and friendly town in south Iceland, 45 km from Reykjavík and 90 km from Keflavík Airport. Tourism is rapidly growing in and around Hveragerði, where a high-temperature geothermal field in the centre of town is open to visitors from 13-18 weekdays during summer and by arrangement at other times for groups. The South Iceland Tourist Information Centre is located in Hveragerði along with a shopping mall and a variety of shops selling a wide range of goods.
